STUKENT SOCAL MEDIA SIMTERNSHIP ANALYSIS
In my principles of social media class we were required to complete a simulation style social media internship assignment through the Stukent academic website. The simulation consisted of a total of 12 rounds that slowly introduced additional social media platforms, ways to post content and ways to generate revenue. You had the option of producing free content, sponsored/paid content and you could hire influencers to do collaborations with your product to boost both sales and overall engagement.
After completing the simulation and reflecting back on all of the different parts of progression I ended up really enjoying the entire process. There was a high level of detail involved in all aspects of the simulations. Being able to analyze tons of different metrics and data across a multitude of social media platforms was very interesting and helpful in order to get the best end result when it came to sales and growth across all platforms. The simulation did a great job of showing how each individual decision made impacted the end result. That could be where you post, when you post, what you decide to invest in monetarily and what audience you decide to try and reach.
The simulation also did a great job of overall progression and introducing new topics and skills. Starting simple and slowly building up responsibility was a great way to maximize learning and understanding during the assignment. I personally wish more classes had something like this in order to get a better understanding of how to apply the skills learned in class into real life scenarios.
Sounds like a great learning experience!
