HONORS DAY

    This past Tuesday I had the privilege to be invited to honors day. If I am being completely transparent I wasn't too excited to go. I have never been a fan of formal events from dressing up, acting professional and even the event itself. Not that there is anything wrong with formal events, I just prefer more casual and laid back environments. However, I still had a great time and it's always fun to see my peers succeed. It was great to see staff, students and parents get together to celebrate everyone's leadership and academic achievements. 

    I was fortunate enough to be inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society along with many of my classmates. I also won the Hellen A. Ludwig scholarship which is a sport management specific scholarship that is given out yearly to students within the major. I felt extremely honored and thankful to win this award along with my good friend and classmate Ashton Church. Overall, the event was great and a lot more fun than I had originally thought plus, any time classes get canceled is considered a good day.   

    On a funnier note, I was able to make it outside towards the end of the event to be included in the Beta Gamma Sigma group picture. The picture was great, everyone looked professional, sharp and clean. Then there I am practicing my camouflage skills on the far right of the photo. This is my personal favorite photo I have been involved in when it comes to a school organization and I love it!
