SOCIAL MEDIA CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
This previous Friday, I was fortunate enough to attend a professional social media conference held at my college. I was able to live tweet specific details about the event so if you would like more information you can click the link to my Twitter account to see all of my tweets regarding the event. I really encode this event and will discuss the overall experience and information I learned while I was there.
I must first say the event was ran very smoothly. This event had multiple sections and moving parts and managed to never skip a beat. Something else I personally enjoyed was the variety of topics this conference covered. You were able to learn about specific social media platforms such as Tik Tok, you could learn about social media marketing or even podcasting. Each session had an expert related to the specific topic you wanted to learn more about and each session had tons of useful information. I personally found the podcasting session quite interesting due to the fact that podcasting is not something I know much about so being able to understand the basics was very interesting.
Something else I found very cool was the fact that the age of the experts had a wide range. It shows that social media success is not determined by your age but rather your hard work and dedication. At the end of the day the one thing every session had in common was talking about how important it is to follow your dreams and keep hope alive. As long as you do both of those things you can do anything you put your mind to which I found incredibly inspiring.
Chase Coburn: I agree with you on how everything went smoothly. It was fascinating how everyone had different things to say about various topics. I definitely learned a lot and valued a lot of what they were saying.
ReplyDeleteThe workshop was really good and helpful for, I hope, everyone that was attending. You made a great point in your last paragraph when talking about the different age ranges. You're right, age doesn't matter near as much as experience.
ReplyDeleteI think the workshop was a very good opportunity to understand different stances in the business world! I learned a lot of new and very cool things from people who knew their profession very well. I'm was extremely blessed to have this opportunity s a freshmen! And yes you are correct, age doesn't matter, experience does!
ReplyDeleteThe age range was kind of unexpected to me. Especially, the last speaker that we both attend. Sarah was only 23! That is crazy to me and shows that anyone can be consider an expert does not matter the age. Overall the event was fun and I will defiantly take some of the things I learned and implement them within my own job.
